Why should you or your child join the Interfaith Children's Movement Youth Alliance Academy for Social Justice 2021 session?


If you are or know of youth ages 12 to 18 and have an interest in serving the beloved community, gaining foundational knowledge on social and justice issues, and learning how to advocate and mobilize. WE HAVE A PLACE FOR YOU!

The Youth Academy offers:

  • Ten Saturday virtual classes from June to November
  • Platform to learn, engage and become empowered as youth leaders and change agents now
  • Group of diverse and inclusive participants
  • Classes facilitated by an experienced cadre of volunteers
  • Opportunity to learn issues aligned with ICM’s core action areas and unique approach to advocacy
  • Training on civic engagement
  • Occasions to hear from faith leaders, living legends, activists, and youth leaders
  • Showcase of individual advocacy-service projects

ACADEMY APPLICATION

Paradigm of the Youth Alliance Academy for Social Justice


OVERVIEW

  • Try your best to attend all 10 classes. 
  • Each class is on a Saturday and begins at 10:00am and ends at 12:00pm, with breaks totaling 20 minutes.
  • Classes are scheduled from June to December.
  • Currently all offerings are virtual, and you will be provided the zoom link and agenda at least 5 days in advance of each class. You will also receive a reminder the day before each class.
  • Please know that classes will be recorded.
